Gardenia can bloom even in winter, and it turns out this little trick is the reason

Yesterday a flower friend left a message for Chengcheng, asking whether gardenia goes dormant in winter, and how exactly to care for it in winter.
Gardenia is a southern flower, it prefers warmth and moisture, but whether it goes dormant needs to be considered from two aspects!
One、If we do not have heating at home in winter, then once the temperature is too low, it will grow slowly, or even stop growing and enter a dormant period! If the temperature at home is really too low, put a plastic bag over it to keep it warm and moist, and wait for it to get through the winter; once spring comes and it gets warmer, it will naturally resume growth!
Two、If we have heating at home in winter, then the temperature in the room will basically be around 25 degrees, and at this temperature, gardenia will not go dormant at all, it can absolutely grow normally!
Since it does not go dormant, we can just manage it normally as usual! But friends who have heating at home all know that after the heating comes on, the air in the room becomes rather dry, so it is best to often use a fine-mist spray bottle to mist the leaves to keep them moist, and you absolutely must wait until the potting soil is completely dry before watering it!
Actually, regarding the question of whether the flowers we grow will enter a dormant period, I have talked about it in videos before: if you grow flowers indoors, with air conditioning in summer and heating in winter, the plants' growth habits have already been disrupted; it can be said that as long as the temperature is suitable, they will not stop growing, and they will even bloom!
