Spider plants are an especially common green plant in everyday life, with leaves that stay lush green all year round, offering high ornamental value, and they also have the title of "air guardian," able to absorb harmful substances such as carbon monoxide and nicotine and purify the air, making them deeply loved by many flower enthusiasts.

Spider plants have fairly strong vitality, but in autumn some flower enthusiasts still report that their spider plants are not doing well, with dry tips and yellow leaves. Today Hua'er will introduce to everyone: use these 2 things to care for spider plants in autumn, and the leaves will be sturdy and emerald green, with small spider plantlets sprouting like crazy!

1. Egg white

Eggs are a food we always keep on hand in daily life, rich in nutrients, especially the yolk, but for growing spider plants, the egg white is actually more suitable than the yolk. The nutrients released after the egg white decomposes, once absorbed by the spider plant, can make the leaves more sturdy and emerald green and bring out more small spider plantlets.

Specific method: for one pot of spider plant, prepare just one egg. First completely separate the egg white from the yolk, gently stir the egg white and then dilute it with water at a dilution ratio of 1:100, then put it into a container that can be sealed. After sealing, let it sit overnight and it is ready to water the spider plant.

When watering, be careful not to pour it directly over the top. It is best to dig a shallow trench around the edge of the flower pot, then pour in the egg white solution, and cover it back up with soil.

2. Bone meal

After the beginning of autumn, the weather gradually turns cooler. For many new leaves and small spider plantlets, their own resistance is relatively low and they are easily damaged, so the spider plant should be given a timely supplement of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. Bone meal contains very rich phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, and also helps loosen the soil.

Specific method: collect the leftover bones from meals, then rinse them 2-3 times with boiling water, then put them under the sun to bake. After they are completely dry, crush them with a hammer or similar tool, the finer the better. After crushing, bake them in the sun again for 3-5 days, then directly scatter them on the surface of the potting soil. This will keep the spider plant's leaves sturdy and emerald green and increase its resistance.

That is all for spider plant care. If flower enthusiasts have other additions, you can share them with everyone in the comment section below. To learn more about flower growing, you can follow Huajianke!
