A few days ago during a live stream, a gardening friend said they really liked those potted fruit trees and asked whether we can actually grow them well at home?

Chengcheng tells everyone: if you grow fruit potted plants outdoors, then there is definitely no problem at all; if you grow them indoors, there are a few conditions that must be met!

1. Light must be sufficient

Fruit potted plants, from their growth to their flowering, pollination and fruit set, all require us to ensure sufficient light for them. At any one of these stages, if the light requirement cannot be met, then it cannot successfully set fruit; sometimes even if it does set fruit, because of insufficient light, the fruit will drop!

2. Fertility must be sufficient

Generally, if you grow fruit potted plants at home, you buy ones that others have already cultivated, and many gardening friends even buy ones that already have fruit on them. If you buy one with fruit on it, then this season there will definitely be no problem, but if you want it to successfully set fruit again next season, besides giving it sufficient light, the fertility must also be sufficient!

After all, fruit potted plants are different from some other flowers. Their root systems and branches are very thick and strong, so they demand more fertility. When we fertilize them, we should try to choose some organic fertilizers with stronger fertilizing power, such as well-fermented chicken manure, sheep manure, cow manure and the like. This will not only provide them with sufficient fertility, but also prevent the soil from becoming compacted!

3. Water must be appropriate

Many gardening friends think that potted fruit plants need a relatively large amount of water, so they water them more! Actually, this is not the case. Normally, as long as the potting soil has dried out completely, we can just water it. Remember not to water it too frequently! Especially during its flowering period, whether you water too much or too little, it is unfavorable for its flowering and fruit set!

Overall, among these three conditions, the latter two we can all achieve. If the light condition is also met, then basically you can grow them well!
