More and more people like growing vegetables in pots at home. Not only can they be admired like flowering potted plants, but some can also be eaten as vegetables, truly killing two birds with one stone. One gardening enthusiast even started growing mushrooms on their balcony as potted plants, which are more pleasing to look at than pothos, spider plants, and orchids. Many friends do not know how to grow mushrooms the first time, so let's take a look below!

Mushrooms as potted plants, 1 pot becomes 10 pots, without spending a single cent, eat for "2 months", harvest every 7 days!

You can buy mushroom spawn bags online. After receiving the spawn bag, prepare a fairly large plastic bucket or cardboard box. If using a cardboard box, it is best to line it with a waterproof film, pour in a small cup of water, tear off the newspaper at the opening of the spawn bag, then place the spawn bag inside the plastic bucket. Of course, if you have a foam box, you can also put these spawn bags in the foam box.

You can spray a little water on the soil in the spawn bag. Spawn bags generally can absorb and retain water, so later care is very simple. Next, cover the bucket with a sheet of newspaper and moisten the newspaper with a spray bottle, once in the morning and once in the evening. Actually, you can spray several more times, as long as the newspaper stays moist.

When watering, pay attention: just moisten the newspaper. Try to avoid pouring too much water so it drips onto the surface of the substrate. When watering every day, move the newspaper a bit. First, it lets the bag underneath breathe; second, you can check whether mushroom buds have grown out. If mushroom buds appear, you can appropriately increase the number of sprays. Do not water too much, and do not let water fall on the substrate surface and cause standing water there. If you find standing water on the substrate surface, take the bag out in time and pour off the excess water.

After about 7 days, you can see the mushrooms that have grown. Once mushroom buds appear, you must not keep the newspaper covered; be sure to lift the newspaper off, and increase spraying each day to maintain humidity. Mushrooms like a moist, ventilated, dark growing environment. We can also place a wet towel or paper napkin at the opening of the spawn bag. Each day you only need to spray water on the towel and paper napkin to keep them moist.

Growing in this cycle, your home will have fresh mushrooms to eat without running out. One thing that must be specially explained here is harvesting mushrooms. It is not done by picking them one by one, but by breaking off a whole cluster. As long as you usually pay attention to controlling the humidity and temperature required by the spawn bag's growing environment, mushrooms will soon grow, and their growth rate is very fast.
