What causes succulents to drop their leaves
Too dry: The soil a succulent grows in needs to retain a certain amount of water; if the soil dries out completely, the succulent drops its leaves to protect itself. Overwatering and root rot: If you water too much, the succulent's roots are damaged and it will also drop its leaves. Black rot: When black rot occurs, it also causes leaf drop.
1. Too dry
It may be that the succulent was kept too dry. Succulents are drought-tolerant plants, but they still need a certain amount of moisture while growing. If the soil dries out completely, the succulent preserves itself by dropping its leaves.

2. Overwatering and root rot
If you water too much during care, the succulent's roots are damaged and leaf drop can also occur.
3. Black rot
When a succulent develops black rot, it also causes leaf drop, but the leaves that drop due to black rot usually show some obvious diseased tissue. At this point, thoroughly clean up the leaves affected by black rot.
