How long does an orchid generally need to be grown before the roots produce crystal tips?

The appearance of crystal tips on orchid roots is a sign that the plant has initially settled into its pot, and new roots grow from there. In spring, the time for crystal tips to sprout is about 20 days. In the spring of this year (2018), the wild downhill orchids grown by Haoshe Farmer, after being potted for 20 days, had crystal tips as large as shown in the picture below.
If you want orchids to produce crystal tips, the potting medium is key. Haoshe Farmer conducted experiments and found that different potting media produce crystal tips at different times. The first was vegetable garden soil plus pine bark; the second was humus soil from the orchid's native mountain plus pine bark. The result was that the humus soil potting medium from the native mountain produced crystal tips in a shorter time, and the crystal tips produced were also sturdier.
Referring to some literature on orchids, it is said that the humus soil from the orchid's native mountain contains a symbiotic orchid bacterial community, which is beneficial to the growth of orchid roots. Setting aside these rather profound academic issues, facts have proven that soil from the orchid's native mountain is indeed more suitable for growing orchids than soil from other places.
Haoshe Jun newly planted a pot of wild orchids on September 28 of this year. At the time, it was to cooperate in shooting a video. I plan to repot and check the new root growth around October 20. Please stay tuned.
