Pothos and spider plants are potted plants that flower lovers often grow. What's more, many people today pay more and more attention to quality of life, and will place some pothos at home for decoration, putting them in the study, living room, office and other places. It can bring a beautiful visual sense and purify the environment. Among large vines, pothos, like spider plants and ivy, has a powerful air-purifying effect. Flower lovers' pothos and spider plants often fail to grow bigger, so what is the reason?

The reason pothos grows very slowly is mainly a matter of nutrients, including watering and fertilizing. If water and fertilizer cannot keep up when growing pothos, its growth will lack nutrients. At this point slow growth will appear, with no obvious increase. To make pothos grow fast, a relatively high temperature is needed, because pothos prefers warmth. Next is light; light must be sufficient, so that photosynthesis goes well and the leaves are glossy green.

Water pothos and spider plants with a little "milk": in 7 days the leaves are so green they drip oil, and in 30 days they shoot up to 1 m long!

Milk can be used to water pothos and spider plants. After the protein, calcium and other elements in milk are broken down, they can be absorbed by flowers and plants, and it is a very good source of nitrogen fertilizer, so ordinary expired or spoiled milk can be used to grow flowers. Before watering flowers, it needs to be fermented in advance, then diluted with clean water to be used as organic fertilizer for topdressing. Also note that the concentration must not be too strong and the amount must not be too much, otherwise it will burn the fertilizer.

Milk contains at least more than a hundred kinds of substances, including many elements needed for plant growth, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients, which are beneficial to plants flowering and fruiting, and the salt can also be absorbed directly by plants, so watering flowers with expired milk is very good. But be very careful: watering flowers directly with milk is very unworkable; it must be fermented and diluted before use. Watering flowers directly with unfermented milk, as it ferments it produces a large amount of heat, easily burning the roots, and it also easily causes the soil to compact, which is very bad for the root system.

Generally, we just dilute dairy products about 10 times, pour it along the flowerpots of the pothos and spider plant, then water again with clean water; ordinary tap water is fine, which amounts to diluting it once more, and the effect is still good. Generally, there is an effect in 7 days, and in 30 days it shoots up to 1 m long!

When it comes to the soil requirements for growing pothos, it is already a commonplace topic: the soil should be mainly leaf mold that is fertile, loose and well-draining, and slightly acidic soil works best, whether it is special nutrient soil or a homemade mix. At the bottom of the flowerpot, it is best to spread a layer of ceramsite. Although it is an indoor plant, in a dim room some lighting should be turned on, which helps the plant grow.
