Many flower lovers keep orchids and clivia at home, but the same plants can grow very differently - some are lush with abundant flowers, while others are thin and small. The reason lies in care methods that fail to meet the orchids' growth needs. Orchid sprouting and blooming both require certain conditions; if the conditions they need for growth are not met, they will struggle to sprout and bloom. Today, the editor tells you to use three things when growing orchids; after using them, orchids will sprout like crazy and bloom profusely.

1. Rice water + Yi Lan Jun (beneficial bacteria for orchids). Orchids cannot grow without nutrients, nor without beneficial bacteria. After fermentation, rice water contains the nutrients orchids need for growth, while Yi Lan Jun has the functions of resisting rot and decomposing, transforming and absorbing harmful substances, and can produce beneficial bacteria in the growing medium, which benefits orchid growth and disease resistance, and further helps orchids take root and sprout. When using, first ferment the rice water, then add 0.2% Yi Lan Jun to water the orchids, once every half month.

2. Hemp seeds or hemp seed cake. Hemp seeds contain the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium that orchids need for growth. In autumn, make holes along the edge of the orchid pot and apply hemp seeds, putting 2-3 hemp seeds in each hole, which helps the orchid sprout new shoots the following spring, but when applying, be sure to keep them away from the roots. You can also crush the hemp seeds, ferment them, and then apply them, which is a bit safer.

3. For potted orchids and clivia, the biggest fear is poor root growth. Once the root system is damaged, the whole orchid plant will grow poorly. Therefore, in order to make the roots grow vigorously and strong, when repotting orchids and changing the soil, put an appropriate amount of activated charcoal and willow branches at the bottom of the pot, which helps the orchid roots breathe, helps root development and growth, and also has a sterilizing and disinfecting effect, creating a more favorable growing environment for orchid root growth and greatly promoting the orchid sprouting rate.
