Nowadays more and more people are growing flowers. As a part of life, potted flowers have become indispensable. Growing flowers and vegetables is itself a pleasant way of life. Of course, there is still quite a bit of know-how to growing potted flowers well; after all, there are so many kinds of flowers that it counts as a discipline of its own. In our daily flower growing, the more common flowers include pothos, spider plant, lucky bamboo, clivia, and pennywort (Hydrocotyle vulgaris), and so on. Today, we are mainly going to share how to care for potted pennywort. Quite a few people grow pennywort: first, it is easy to grow, and second, its meaning is quite good.

The picture above is the pennywort of the flower lover "May Flowers Bloom", and its growth is very vigorous! Although pennywort is a relatively easy variety to grow, some common situations can still appear, such as small leaves, yellowing leaves, spots, and root rot, and so on. To grow pennywort well, we need to understand its growth habits. Generally, when we care for pennywort, we can choose water culture, soil culture, or half soil and half water. Water culture is a bit more common. Pennywort likes an environment with plenty of sunlight, plenty of water, and enough moisture the most, so we should give pennywort enough light and water.

Add a bit of "it" to pennywort, and the whole pot starts growing like crazy, with leaves both big and green; it is a good fertilizer.

Besides giving pennywort enough light and water as mentioned above, fertilizing is also very important. I suggest using "it" as the fertilizer water for pennywort. After using it, the leaves will start growing like crazy, and with proper care, the leaf diameter of pennywort can reach 10 cm! "It" is actually very common in daily life, and that is soy milk. Perhaps some flower lovers will say, how can soy milk be used to water flowers! The reason is this: soy milk is made from soybeans, and it is rich in amino acids, which means it has a lot of nitrogen. Organic nitrogen is an element necessary for the robust growth of potted flowers. Using soy milk to water pennywort also has its particular requirements.

First, put the soy milk into a sealed bottle, and seal it for about half a month, and it will finish fermenting. Only after fermentation can the soy milk be used to water pennywort. This kind of fertilizer water, if it has not been fermented, can easily burn the roots of pennywort. When fermentation is complete, there will be a sour smell. Dilute it with water; you can use a ratio of 1 part fermented soy milk solution to 10 parts clear water. Then part the stems and leaves of the pennywort and pour it directly into the flowerpot.

Because this fertilizer water is rich in nitrogen, it is very beneficial to leaf growth. Besides being used as fertilizer water for pennywort, it can also be used to grow some common flowers, such as spider plant, pothos, and so on. Finally, a reminder to flower lovers: leftover soy milk after drinking cannot be used directly to water or grow flowers. This point cannot be ignored, otherwise, if it ferments in the flowerpot, it will release a lot of heat, and the flower roots will rot.
