Rose flowers are delicate and vivid, deeply loved by gardening enthusiasts. The flowering period of roses runs from March all the way to November, and with good care they can bloom every month. But some netizens complain: their own plants never bloom, and when they finally do produce more flowers, the blooms are especially small. Today Xiaoye will teach you two tricks, feeding roses with these two things to guarantee continuous blooming.

Sprinkle "2 handfuls of powder" on roses, and they will bloom every month, with a single pot producing hundreds of flowers

The first handful of powder: fish meal

Gardening enthusiasts can take the small fish and shrimp left over from meals or otherwise unwanted, or discarded fish heads, tails, gills, innards and so on, remove dirt and impurities, rinse clean with clear water, scoop out and drain, put into a cloth bag, and place in a steamer or boil in water for about 20 minutes.

After taking it out, place a stone or other heavy object on top to press out the water. If the quantity is large, mechanical pressing can be used; start with lower pressure, and after most of the water has been squeezed out, gradually increase the pressure until it is pressed dry. Then spread it out evenly to dry in the sun, turning it frequently, and once dried it is ready to use.

When using, take one large spoonful of fish meal, mix evenly with water, shape into a ball, and place it at the edge of the rose flowerpot. This fertilizer is not only long-lasting in effect but also economical and cost-effective. If you have quite a few potted plants, it is recommended to use this kind of fertilizer.

The second handful of powder: bone meal

Bone meal is a relatively long-lasting phosphorus fertilizer that can increase the number of flowers and the flowering period. It is generally best applied when roses are preparing to form buds. The method of making it is: gardening enthusiasts dry and store the livestock and poultry bones they collect normally.

When making it, break them into small pieces, then put the crushed small bone pieces into a pot, add water and boil, preferably leaving them overnight, skim off the fat floating on the water surface, then take out the bones. Grind the defatted bone pieces in a hammer mill or steel grinder to make bone meal.

If gardening enthusiasts find this too troublesome, then it is recommended to use a microbial inoculant fertilizer specially made for roses. Simply dig a hole around the rose roots and bury some, cover with soil and water thoroughly. Once every 15 days can meet the needs of the rose growing period, without burning the roots, and it can also promote flowering and extend the flowering period. Never use too much chemical fertilizer, because using too much chemical fertilizer will make the plant weak and prone to pests and diseases. If the chemical fertilizer contains too much accumulated chlorine, it will cause the problem of "leaf burn."
