How do you grow a camellia at home? Follow this method and it can even become a family heirloom

We are already at this time of the season. If you are still wondering what kind of plant to grow, then it is a bit late. Over the next week or so, you should quickly decide what kind of plant you want to grow. People today tend to like things with a long history, because such things carry a strong sense of culture and can be kept as a family heirloom. In fact, if we grow plants, they can also serve as our family heirlooms, because the older they get, the more valuable they become. The camellia is exactly this kind of plant.
In China's history, growing camellias has been very common. China has gone through so many dynasties, and every dynasty had times of turmoil. In times of turmoil, people hope their families can be safe and sound. As it happens, the camellia's meaning is peace and safety. Chinese people also like things in pairs, and whether it is a house or any other building, there is a sense of symmetry. So if you grow camellias, it is best to grow two pots: on one hand, it satisfies the requirement of pairing, and on the other hand, it doubles the peace and safety.
Growing camellias is actually not difficult. As long as you follow the points below, there will be no problem. Cutting propagation has different requirements in different places. If you are growing camellias in the south, then we should choose the highly sticky red soil unique to the south for planting. Apart from this kind of soil, camellias cannot grow in the south. If you want to grow camellias in the north, then it is more troublesome.
Because the water and soil in the north are alkaline, but camellias prefer an acidic environment, we cannot directly use northern soil to grow camellias. We need to make our own soil. Only after changing the alkalinity in the soil to acidity can we plant camellias. Otherwise, even if we plant camellias, we will not be able to keep them alive; even if they survive, they will not bloom. In fact, it is also very easy to make this kind of soil. We just need to find some mixed leaf mold and pine needle soil and mix it with northern soil. Once mixed, a change has already taken place. We can also regularly add some other acidic substances, and then we can change its acidity and alkalinity.
When growing camellias, we need to change the soil regularly. Generally, the soil needs to be changed once a year, because its soil can support its growth for at most one year. If we do not change the soil, then in the later stage it will stop growing. In daily care, we had best not directly use plain water as the material for watering. We can use rice-washing water to water them, but the rice-washing water cannot be poured on directly either. Instead, the rice-washing water should be placed in a sealed environment and left for one day before it can be used for watering.
We can also use fruit peels to make some acidic solution to water the camellias, such as orange peel, apple peel, and banana peel, but orange peel is the best material. We only need to cut the fruit peel into small pieces, then put it in a plastic bottle, add some water, tighten the bottle cap, and put it in the sun to dry for about three days. By then our fruit peel will probably have fully fermented.
After that, the solution we get can be mixed with plain water and then poured onto the camellias. Camellias really like this kind of solution, but we cannot water them this way too often. This kind of watering method should generally be kept to about once a month.
