The Ratio and Precautions for Using Cake Fertilizer as a Base Fertilizer in Orchid Growing Medium

What kind of fertilizer is best for orchids? Besides some formulated fertilizers, farmyard manure is also a good choice. Especially the residue left after farmers press oil - cake fertilizer.
Rapeseed cake, peanut cake, and tea seed cake are all top-grade organic fertilizers. Farmers often use them to grow crops, and long-term experiments show that crops grown with these cake fertilizers grow better than those given chemical fertilizers, with higher yield and quality as well. Orchids are no exception. When these cake fertilizers are used as fertilizer, orchid seedlings grow well, the plants have a beautiful form, and the flowers are more fragrant too.
Before cake fertilizer is used as a base fertilizer, it must be fully fermented. The specific methods are: the water fermentation method and the sealed bag method. Hao She Nong Fu generally uses the latter. In summer, put the moistened cake fertilizer into a sealed bag and leave it in the sun to bake. When the cake fertilizer ferments, it produces a very strong stench, and the sealed bag can neutralize this smell. This is also why Hao She Nong Fu likes to use the bag-sealing method.
When potting, I always mix them into the growing medium, generally at a weight ratio of 1:20. That is, if the prepared growing medium is 20 jin, add 1 jin of fermented cake fertilizer (dry), mix thoroughly, and then you can plant the orchids.
