Before we know it, late autumn has arrived, and the cold winter is not far away. Winter is the time when all things wither, but some plants can defy the severe cold and still bloom beautifully in the biting winter. Below we take stock of several plants that bloom in winter.

1. Narcissus

The flowering period of narcissus runs from December each year to March of the following year, and it can bloom even in winter. Of course, narcissus is very easy to care for indoors; you just need to place it in a spot with plenty of indirect light, and pay attention to keeping the soil consistently moist.

2. Primrose

The flowering period of primrose runs from December to April of the following year, blooming continuously from winter all the way into spring, with the peak bloom in January and February. Once this flower opens, it means spring is not far away. Primrose is the messenger of spring; when the earth has not yet fully taken shape and all other flowers have withered, it has already quietly put out its blooms.

3. Kalanchoe

The flowering period of kalanchoe is from February to May each year. In winter it needs to be moved indoors to a warm spot for care; generally, at around 15 degrees it will keep blooming continuously. After kalanchoe finishes flowering, the spent blooms should be cut off promptly, as this can encourage it to bloom a second time. Kalanchoe blooms during the Spring Festival period, making it a very good decoration; of course, it can also be given as a gift to the elderly, and its symbolic meaning is very good as well.

4. Christmas cactus

The Christmas cactus is also a major indoor flowering plant in winter and spring. The Christmas cactus is a plant in the cactus family, and during care its flowering period can be regulated by controlling light. Especially in autumn, in addition to ensuring plenty of light during the day, it needs a completely dark environment at night, which can make the Christmas cactus bloom earlier.

Keeping a few pots of flowering plants at home in winter can bring us a feeling of vitality, so that we can enjoy flowers in every season at home.
