Eggshells come from one of the most commonly eaten foods at home. I believe many flower growers know that using eggshells to grow plants can effectively promote plant growth. In fact, adding a little something extra to eggshells to grow flowers works much better than flower fertilizer, saving you a big chunk of money on buying flower fertilizer, and with the money you save you can add several more beautiful potted plants!

Add some fruit peel to eggshells

First, wash the eggshells in clean water, then put them under the sun to bake, and once dried, crush them and put them into a clean container. Then add an appropriate amount of fruit peel, seal it up, and put it under the sun to ferment. Basically, after about one month, it will have fermented successfully. Then mix the solution with clean water at a ratio of 1:100, stir well, and water the plants directly with it. Because fruit peel contains nitrogen and phosphorus, and eggshells contain phosphorus and calcium, this can make plants grow more and more vigorously.

Add some vinegar to eggshells

After washing the eggshells, crush them, then put them into a clean container and add an appropriate amount of vinegar, the kind that contains no salt. Stir well and let them soak. After soaking, filter out the residue, then mix the solution with clean water at a ratio of 1:100, stir well, and give it directly to acid-loving plants such as jasmine. This is because eggshells soaked in vinegar not only contain the nutrients from the eggshells but also become slightly acidic, so they can make the leaves more deep green and effectively prevent and control chlorosis.

Spread eggshells directly on the surface

First, wash the eggshells with clean water, otherwise they easily breed pests, then let the eggshells dry. After the eggshells are dried, crush them and sprinkle them directly onto the soil, but do not spread them too thickly. When you water the plants, the nutrients in the eggshells will slowly seep into the soil, which can supply the plants with sufficient calcium, phosphorus and other elements, making them grow more and more vigorously.
