Autumn has arrived, and many flower-loving friends grow some flowers at home. Flowers come in all kinds, so everyone has their own favorites, but sometimes buying flowers costs quite a bit of money. In fact, though, some things in everyday life can be grown into very beautiful potted plants without spending money, and they look better than many flowers. So, what things can be made into potted plants that look even better than flowers?

Celery

If the celery you bought still has roots, you can cut it off about 6cm above the roots, then put it in clean water and hold it in place with toothpicks, changing the water about every 2 days. Basically, in about 7 days it will grow new tender shoots, and it will soon be lush and green. When you want to eat it, just cut some off, and it will quickly grow new tender shoots again.

Sweet potato

First find a container, then put the sweet potato in, with the water level at one third of the sweet potato. Then change the water often to keep the water clean. Basically, in about a week it will grow green leaves. When the leaves grow more and more vigorously and the roots grow more and more vigorous, you can transplant it into soil. If you want to eat sweet potato leaves, you will soon be able to!

Chestnut

First soak raw chestnuts in clean water with the pointed end facing down, with the water level at about one half of the chestnut. Then change the water every day to keep the water clean. Basically, in about 7 days they will grow small white tender sprouts, and then you can pot them. Water the prepared soil thoroughly, then put the chestnuts in, burying them a little shallowly, then water about once every 3 days to keep the soil slightly moist. Soon they will grow tender sprouts, then put them in a place with plenty of sunlight, and in about a month they will grow into a lush little potted plant.
