Growing miniature roses on the balcony: remember this little formula and they will bloom without yellowing leaves

[0029]Grow little roses (miniature roses) on the balcony, remember this little formula, and they will bloom abundantly without yellowing leaves!
At flower markets you can often see potted miniature roses for sale, with a tiny plant shape but lots of blooms, very likable.
However, many flower lovers find that after buying this little rose and caring for it at home, yellowing and dropping leaves soon appear, and at best it turns into bare stems with no flowers.
So how exactly should this little rose be grown so it blooms a lot without yellowing leaves?
Actually this little rose is also a rose, belonging to the miniature rose category of rose varieties. Since it is a rose, its care method is similar to that of roses.
To avoid yellowing leaves in miniature roses, first pay attention to the following points.
1. Control watering
The reason many flower lovers' little roses, miniature rose pots, develop yellow leaves and lose all their leaves soon after buying them is mainly improper watering.
Frequently watering the little rose or miniature rose, even once a day, causes the potting soil to be too wet, the roots cannot breathe properly, and yellowing and falling leaves appear.
So be sure to water only when the surface of the potting soil has dried and the pot feels noticeably lighter.
2. Keep the environment ventilated
Keeping the environment ventilated is very important for the growth of little roses and miniature roses, so try to place the potted little rose or miniature rose outdoors with good ventilation, or on an outside balcony, not on an enclosed balcony or indoors.
A poorly ventilated, enclosed environment most easily causes pests and diseases in little roses and miniature roses, as well as waterlogged potting soil and root rot.
3. Give plenty of light
Also, many people like to place little roses and miniature roses indoors for viewing without light, but this is actually very bad for the growth of the little rose.
Little roses and miniature roses need plenty of light, maintaining at least 4 hours of light per day to meet their normal growth light needs. If kept indoors all the time and unable to receive sunlight, over time, as the photosynthesis rate drops, the plant will become weak, fail to bloom, and be prone to pests and diseases.
If you want miniature roses to bloom often and grow vigorously, besides doing the above 3 points, you also need to do the following 2 points.
1. Plenty of fertilizer and water
Keeping the little rose or miniature rose alive is not our goal; the most important thing is to keep the miniature rose vigorous and blooming often. If you want the little rose to bloom often, you must ensure plenty of fertilizer and water.
In spring and autumn, the vigorous growing seasons for little roses and miniature roses, fertilize frequently; apply a long-acting fertilizer once a month, such as fermented chicken manure or controlled-release fertilizer. At the same time, apply a nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizer once every 10-15 days.
2. Prune diligently
To keep little roses and miniature roses vigorous and blooming often, you need to prune diligently.
Promptly prune off spent flowers, and after each flush of blooms do a uniform cut-back of the branches. The extent of the cut-back can be decided by the plant's growth: if the branches grew longer, cut back 1/2; if shorter, cut back 1/3.
When pruning, try to prune all the branches, so the miniature rose sprouts evenly, blooms more uniformly, and easily fills the pot.
Actually miniature roses are quite easy to grow, do not take up much space, bloom a lot, and have a long flowering period, making them the top choice of rose variety for balcony gardeners. If you like roses, you might as well grow a couple of pots and let your balcony have flowers blooming all year round.
