Kalanchoe needs regular pruning; seize the right moment and it will bloom all over your balcony

After the battering of a whole summer, how are the kalanchoes in everyone's homes doing? Now that autumn has arrived, we should properly "tidy up" our kalanchoes so they can reach the goal of a pot full of flowers in autumn. So, what Huahua is telling everyone today is how to prune kalanchoe.
Pruning kalanchoe mainly comes down to two timings. One is pinching off the buds after it has grown taller, which not only controls the plant shape well but also encourages more flower buds to grow. When cutting, prune at the second bud node counting down from the top, and note that the cut must be above the bud node, so that it will sprout more new branches from the side.
Also, when a small cutting-grown seedling reaches a certain height it should be pruned too, otherwise it will keep growing taller and taller and end up falling over. The other timing is after it has finished flowering, because if spent flowers are not pruned in time, keeping them only wastes the nutrients of the whole plant, doing harm and no good at all.
And when we cut, we should not just pick off the withered flowers. It is best to cut the entire flower stem close to the bottom, because even if you keep it, it will not continue to bloom and will also hinder more flower buds from growing.
Besides pruning after flowering, its leaves will also develop all kinds of problems at ordinary times, such as yellow edges, black spots, or drooping limply. With leaves like these we must never be "merciful"; you can simply and directly pick the leaves off.
But when picking them, be sure not to use too much force, lest you damage the whole plant. After tidying up the leaves, be careful not to let it get too strong sunlight. After living like this for a while, you will find that it has grown many small shoots from the sides.
Then we can gradually move it into the sunlight, mainly so the small shoots can carry out photosynthesis better and thus successfully grow into large leaves, and the shape of the whole kalanchoe will naturally become lush!
