Who knows when it started, but a bay window has become a "decorative piece" everyone thinks a home must have. With a bay window at home, you can rest on it, read, soak up the sun - there is no better feeling. Young people in particular have a special fondness for bay windows.

Today Huahua wants to talk to you about this very thing: bay windows. Many people buy a home, furnish it and move straight in, and they surely have no idea that bay windows can hide a trick. Because bay windows have become popular, many builders, in order to attract people to buy, create a fake bay window.

This kind of fake bay window is usually piled up out of bricks, just like the little brick stoves we used as kids, and it cannot bear anything too heavy. It collapses very easily, and the consequences are unthinkable. Just think: you finally want to sit on that bay window and look at the view, and it suddenly collapses - what a mess.

So many clever people, after buying a home, test the load-bearing performance, and if it is not very good, they smash out the bay window and rebuild it, which is a bit safer. There is a reason people like bay windows so much. Small as it is, a bay window does not take up much space, but its uses are huge!

If a couple lives there, the bay window can be arranged as a small reading corner; when resting you can read a book and look at the view outside, which is really nice! If the bay window at home is rather large, you can even turn it into a tatami platform, and a tatami is not just somewhere to sit - it has another powerful function: storage.

Anyone who often watches Japanese and Korean dramas knows that many of them feature tatami, and it is very versatile. In Japan especially, at night they lay out bedding and sleep on it, and during the day they put a small tea table on it and can eat or do other things there.

Besides that, the two sides of a tatami are usually storage space. Storage is a hassle for many of us: no matter how we tidy, we never get it sorted, and our things are still lying everywhere, which is very annoying. But with a tatami it is different - it creates more space for us to store things.

For people whose homes are fairly spacious, the storage function is not so outstanding, but for very small apartments, a tatami really is a good choice. If you cannot make a tatami, that is fine too - a small bay window can still make the home beautiful and add charm!

If you have a bay window at home, you can give it a good arrangement!
