What to Do If Your Money Tree Has Root Rot? Here's the Correct Way to Handle It

Money tree root rot is usually caused by waterlogged potting soil. All you need to do is repot it in fresh soil and remove the rotten roots. Normally, take care to prevent waterlogging: don't water until the soil is dry, and at ordinary room temperature watering thoroughly once a week is enough.
You can take the following steps:
(1) Improve ventilation promptly and keep the growing environment dry.
(2) Pay attention to disinfecting the growing medium and the flower pot.
(3) After transplanting, remove the bruised and rotten tissue at the top of the roots, then spray the wounds with procymidone, let them dry, and plant.
(4) In the early stage of the disease, spray the above-ground parts every 10 days with a 1000-fold dilution of 50% tecnazene wettable powder, or an 800-fold dilution of 70% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder; drench the below-ground parts 2 to 3 times with a 400- to 600-fold dilution of 70% mancozeb wettable powder.
(5) If Pythium is active, you can spray with propamocarb, hymexazol, dimethomorph, or similar products.
