Growing gardenias in autumn: feed one spoonful of oil every ten days for green leaves, more flowers and buds covering the branches

For gardenias to grow well, they must be fertilized regularly, and autumn fertilization is especially important. Xiaoya grows a small-leaf gardenia in a pot on the terrace, and after watering it with some fertilizer water a few days ago, lots of tender leaves immediately sprouted. What fertilizer makes gardenias grow well? How do you care for gardenias in autumn?
Growing gardenias in October: spray "fertilizer and water" once every half month, and the branches and leaves flourish and buds emerge again!
Gardenias love fertile soil; the more fertile and loose the soil, the more robust the branches and leaves can grow, and the more flowers they will bear. Autumn is part of the growing season, so you can spray potassium dihydrogen phosphate several more times, and some organic fertilizers can also be used, for example mixing crushed eggshells into the planting soil to increase aeration and fertility; you can also add some fertile leaf mold, peat soil, chicken manure and bone meal to the soil. For fertilizing, you can use ordinary flower fertilizer; as long as it is fertilizer, it can be used.
Because gardenias like acidic soil, many flower lovers often pour some ferrous sulfate into the potting soil, but when using it, note that the amount must not be too large or too heavy, otherwise it easily damages the roots and causes leaf drop. You can spray a 0.2% ferrous sulfate solution on the leaves or pour it into the soil. This promotes lush branches and leaves.
Some flower lovers pruned their gardenias a little in autumn, then applied some fertilizer, sprayed potassium dihydrogen phosphate once every half month, or poured a little ferrous sulfate into the soil, using it three or four times in a row; not only did new leaves grow on the branches and leaves, but many buds also emerged again.
If the potted gardenia is relatively large and is grown on a terrace or outdoors, you can also bury some waste oil from a range hood in the soil. In autumn, water a little of this oil every ten days or so, cover it well with soil to add fertilizer. This will also make it grow vigorously, and as long as the temperature is suitable, it can bloom a second flush in autumn.
For autumn care of gardenias, water when the potting soil is dry; fertilizing is very important, so fertilize often and maintain sufficient light. Each fertilization does not need to be too much, and before blooming in spring you should also fertilize more; only with enough fertility can it grow well and bloom abundantly. Seeing gardenias bloom again is truly so beautiful!
