This garden is a dramatic journey of transformation, aiming to inspire people to reflect on the interaction between humanity and the environment over time.

Visitors will see a layered garden, with planting and sculpture separated to reflect each era of evolution. At the beginning, planting and art were free and natural, but as humanity developed, the subsequent layers became more formal and controlled.

Chaumont-sur-Loire International Garden Festival

Since the first International Garden Festival was founded in 1992 in the chateau park at Chaumont-sur-Loire, it quickly took on a leading role in the field of garden creation. To borrow the words of landscape designer Hugo Boviegne, who won the first prize in 2000:Through the magic of plants and space, let the audience dream。

Garden of Vowels

For members of Oulipo (Ouvroir de Litterature Potentielle / Workshop of Potential Literature), poetry is shaped with words, and words are made of letters: consonants and vowels. We quickly came up with the idea of writing poems in which the vowels are replaced by flowers, five flowers, one for each of the five vowels. This would be a direct tribute to Baudelaire, "perfumes, sounds and colors correspond" (sonnet, Correspondances) and to Rimbaud, who linked vowels to vowels (sonnet, Voyelles).

Visitors to our park must create the entire poem placed before them in the form of a large area of plant life, in which the consonants are already written in rust-colored metal letters, and its vowels are simply the colors of flowers. From warm to cold tones, with E, accented or otherwise, pure white.

Our garden is called Le Jardin des Voyelles (Garden of Vowels), and it is not just a pleasing poem, it is also a poem that evokes the wanderings of those who walk alone through Chaumont-sur-Loire, lost in their thoughts, and also a riddle - if you will, an intellectual and sensory pleasure!

êTRE Là... UN PEU

"Where? How do you experience this place, here, and understand it? How does your understanding move from recognition to further exploration and more knowledge? At the entrance to this area:

- a symbol of a certain volume of light - the light of color beyond its background, "a pergola tree", and another for the detail of its crown,

- a surface made of laser-cut metal panels, drilled with many holes, suggesting transparency, "the hedge",

- a group of enameled colored balls: "the flowerbed", from the tip of a hat to optical wit.

etre la... Un peu + (Be There ... A Little More) first asks visitors to occupy a small part of this place. Their movement and presence must cause as little harm as possible to what usually grows here, from the grass to the hedges, and to their domain... snails, frogs, insects, birds... That is why there are those "garden slippers"., to move around, but avoid trampling the ground and forage.

Then, a place to stop, where you can find its temperature (thermometer)... or tomorrow's weather (barometer)... and use a variety of different instruments to assess soil moisture level (hygrometer)... wind speed (anemometer)... ambient air humidity (hygrometer)....

- Bernard Lassus

Chinese Garden

This garden is the result of cooperation between the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire and the Beijing Museum of Chinese Gardens, a renowned site created in 2012 and dedicated to Chinese gardens and their history.

Regardless of culture, time is a key factor in a garden, and in our lives as well. This Chinese garden, created by the Beijing Garden Museum, is a reflection on infinity. It refers to the Moebius strip, an infinite Western symbol.

It also refers to yin and yang. In Chinese philosophy, yin and yang (taiji) are two complementary categories. Beyond that, it also evokes the female principle, namely the moon, darkness, freshness and receptivity, while yang represents the male principle, sunlight, luminosity, heat and momentum. This duality may also resemble many other complementary opposites: for example, bread/pleasure, disgust/desire, or excitement/calm.

When you enter the garden, you encounter a circular path, a circular lawn, a circular rose walkway and a pond symbolizing yin and yang. Such a combination also represents an alliance between Eastern and Western gardens.

Through the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures, the garden places us in an infinite longing for the garden of the future, conveying a message to the world and to the future world.

UN PROMENOIR INFINI

Thought and landscape often go hand in hand, as Augustin Berque said, "It is obvious that landscape also requires a specific way of thinking, and can even inspire certain ideas."

This garden invites visitors to advance along the path of thought, here taking the form of the mathematical symbol of infinity... or could it be wisdom, eternity and universal knowledge? Turning and turning, as they circle this figure leaning on the "8" rather than a beginning or an end, the walker's thoughts are guided to plant-centered celestial ideas, the tips of these plants reaching toward the sky and the sun, while inner thoughts symbolize the creeping between plants.

At the edge of the garden, the eye is caught by a mound, on which layers of flowers and grasses in the air gently sway with the breeze. At the top of the mound is a majestic vine, its tendrils spiraling upward. In the second loop of the walkway, a mineral garden made of gravel surrounds a crater representing the magma of the earth's crust. Just as our thoughts change because of our emotions and the influences of the moment, this Promenoir infini (Infinite Walkway) takes us on an endless journey, between darkness and light, between the interior of the earth and the sky.

Reflective Sparkle

A huge metal body like a seaside embankment divides this garden landscape into two sides, symbolizing sharing and reunion: the process of walking forward itself is a kind of sharing, and the combination of landscapes at the end of the walkway conveys the meaning of reunion.

Upon entering the garden, visitors are immediately surrounded by a shimmering world, with many small mirrors that seem to float in the air swinging and flying above the aquatic plants around them, immersing people in a dreamlike world. This space seems to have been pixelated, full of endlessly changing reflected light caused by shifts in light and shadow and ripples on the water. Various white water lilies and calla lilies floating on the dark water surface bring an even more striking contrast to this garden.

The central causeway with a rusty look, in some places seemingly folded, transforms into places where people can stop and rest, sitting or lying down, gazing intently at this tranquil and soothing environmental landscape surrounded by water.

This garden made of water and light and shadow interprets in an extremely sensual and poetic way a passage by French landscape master Gilles Clement: "A sensual and rational reading of the garden can integrate the optical fibers, perceptions and human arrangements in space, and this is landscape."

Beijing International Design Week

Starting from multiple fields such as paper art, wood, fabric art, architecture and miniature art, it falls in love with floral and plant design.

2018 representative work "A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains"

Returning to the most beautiful nature is the best future. Using modern materials and a combination of real and artificial flowers, it distills classic landscape painting elements and geometric shapes to recreate the natural beauty of the Song Dynasty, a peak of aesthetic achievement.

2018 representative work "Embrace the Future Self"

Two inward-curving diamond-shaped frames support the work in a single-point grounding manner, forming the large framework that carries the work, like two people embracing, opening their arms toward each other
