Growing cilantro on the balcony: a veteran vegetable grower of ten years teaches you 3 points for a high germination rate and a thick, even stand

As people's quality of life improves, they increasingly pursue healthy, green food, so besides growing some flowers and plants, they also grow some vegetables on the balcony, and cilantro is a very common vegetable in daily life, though it is mostly used as a side dish, a garnish and so on, because its flavor is rather strong, some people like it while others do not.
Cilantro on the market is fairly expensive, so some flower lovers choose to grow some themselves on the balcony, but growing cilantro requires certain skills. I know a veteran vegetable grower of ten years, and he says that to grow cilantro you must be thoroughly familiar with these 3 points, then the germination rate will be high and the seedlings thick and even, so many that you cannot finish eating them!
1. Sprouting the seeds
Cilantro is mainly propagated by seed. After buying the seeds, you can first put them in the refrigerator's cold storage compartment for 48 hours, keeping the seeds at a lower temperature, which is more helpful for germination.
After 48 hours, take the seeds out and soak them in clean water. After soaking for 12 hours, you can gently rub the seeds apart with your hands, then scoop the seeds out, line a flat-bottomed container with several sheets of thoroughly wet toilet paper or a towel, spread the seeds evenly on top, and keep them moist. After about 3-5 days, once the seeds show white, they can be planted.
2. Planting
Cilantro likes a heavily fertilized environment. You can use leaf mold as the base soil, mix in 1/2 garden soil, and the base fertilizer should be ample. You can spread a layer of bean dregs, bone meal and so on at the bottom of the flower pot to increase the soil's fertility.
Sow the whitened seeds evenly into the soil, then cover with a thin layer of soil, and on the surface you can add a layer of rice straw, which helps retain moisture and warmth. After about a week you will see the seedlings emerge.
3. Care
Cilantro is a light-loving plant. Apart from summer, when the sunlight is rather strong and will scorch the plant, it can mostly take full sun in the other seasons. Water it once every 3 days to keep it moist; on sunny days you can spray some water mist on the branches and leaves every day to promote growth and keep it in better condition. Apply fertilizer once every 7-10 days, mainly organic fertilizer; you can use fermented rice-washing water, fish intestine water and so on. Once the plant is about 15cm tall, it can be harvested for eating.
