Bought tomatoes that don't taste good? Mom taught me 3 very practical tricks

Now that the weather has just turned cool, fresh melons and vegetables have started appearing at the market. Yesterday Huahua went to buy some vegetables and saw bright red tomatoes for sale, couldn't resist, bought some and brought them home, only to find they tasted terrible! I was so annoyed that I complained to my mom, and she said it was because I had too little experience buying tomatoes, which is why I bought them just because they looked bright red. Actually, there are many unscrupulous sellers in the market who target "clueless buyers" like me, who only buy things because they look good!

So mom also told me how to tell which tomatoes are naturally grown and which have been treated with ripening agents. After hearing what mom said, Huahua quickly came to share it with everyone! When buying tomatoes, mainly observe these three things, and you'll basically be able to buy delicious ones!

1. Look at the appearance

The first impression when buying tomatoes is naturally looking at them! Huahua fell right into the seller's trap and bought tomatoes that looked redder and prettier, and really regretted it! Mom said when buying tomatoes, pick the ones that look a bit rounder, and pay attention to the stem end. A good tomato's stem end feels slightly firm to the touch, but not too hard.

2. Look inside

Many people selling tomatoes will break open one or two for everyone to see, and at this point you should observe for yourself! A healthy tomato generally has a fairly uniform color overall, and its red looks healthy, not like those tomatoes treated with ripening agents whose red color has gone dark.... Healthy tomatoes also have a lot of juice, and inside the red is red and the green is green, looking healthy and delicious!

3. Take a taste

This one is relatively easy to judge, and people who like eating tomatoes can definitely taste the difference between problematic ones and good ones. Taking a little taste is not only to see whether it's healthy, but also to see whether it suits your own taste. You should know that some tomatoes have thick skin and some have thin skin, and some lean toward being fruit tomatoes, tasting powdery and mealy; others have more juice and taste sweet and sour, so it depends on your own preference!

The above three points are the little tips mom gave me about buying tomatoes, to keep me from being fooled again next time by unscrupulous sellers into buying bad-tasting tomatoes and then going back to complain to mom... I feel sad too, all that effort just to eat a plate of scrambled eggs with tomatoes....

Anyway, the method has been shared with everyone, and I hope you learn it well so you can buy delicious tomatoes! There are more and more fresh vegetables at the market, so I hope everyone can eat more vegetables in autumn~
