How to make soil acidic: How to increase soil acidity?

Orchids prefer slightly acidic soil, so when growing orchids we should try to mix this kind of soil. A fellow orchid grower asked: my soil is neutral or on the alkaline side, what should I do?
We can make the soil slightly acidic through some artificial modification, and this is actually not difficult. If you have lived in the countryside, you know that in recent decades most of the land has been acidifying. Why? It is because of chemical fertilizers.
The photographer-farmer also once did an experiment: watering the soil with superphosphate solution, and after several times the soil acidity increased noticeably. If your soil is on the alkaline side, you can also try this phosphate fertilizer solution.Note: it must not be calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer, but superphosphate.
The method is to mix superphosphate with water at 1:100 and stir it into a solution, let it stand overnight, and the next day take the upper clear liquid to water the orchids. When watering, pour it slowly along the pot wall, and do not let it touch new shoots or flower buds. Superphosphate can not only acidify the soil, but also supplement phosphorus fertilizer for orchids, promoting the development of flower buds.
