Grow peanuts in water and they look even better than pothos, with one plant producing 50 peanuts

Flowers & Gardening 0 views
A couple of days ago, Huahua went home and dug up some peanuts in the field along the way. The uneaten peanut beans were tossed into water, and after a few days they actually sprouted! Isn't that amazing? Today, Huahua is going to tell everyone what other things around us, besides peanuts, can be grown into small potted plants!

Drop 1 peanut into water and it turns into a mini forest in 2 weeks!

Autumn is exactly the time for harvesting peanuts. If you have more peanuts at home than you can eat, why not use some to grow a small potted plant? Placed in the living room or on the dining table, it looks absolutely beautiful!

Planting steps:

1. To grow peanuts in water, first choose plump, healthy peanuts; discard the shriveled ones. Soak the peanuts in clean water for one day, then take them out and wrap them in a wet paper towel. Usually they will sprout roots in 1-2 days!

2. Find a foam board; it does not need to be too thick. Then use a pencil or nail to poke holes in the foam board. Remember not to make them too big, just enough so the peanuts do not fall through. Then place the peanuts root-side down on the foam board, set the foam board in a disposable lunch box filled with water, and let the peanut roots touch the water surface.

3. In about 3-5 days, you will see more and more peanut roots growing. At this point, it is getting ready to grow small leaves!

4. After waiting another 2-3 days, you will see the peanuts grow small leaves, and the peanut skins will be pushed open!

5. Two weeks after planting, the peanut sprouts shoot up quickly and soon turn into a mini forest!

6. Gardeners who want to eat peanuts can transfer the hydroponic peanut seedlings into soil. Prepare loose, breathable nutrient soil and plant the peanut seedlings in it. With careful care, you can basically harvest peanuts after a few months!

Drop 1 corn cob into water and it turns into a small potted plant in the blink of an eye!

Autumn has arrived, and it is time for every household to harvest corn. Huahua even went home a couple of days ago to harvest corn in the field! If you find any half cobs of corn, we can directly use them for hydroponics!

Planting steps:

1. Remove the outer husk of the corn, leaving only the cob with corn kernels, then put it in a bottle filled with water.

2. In about 3-5 days, a ring of small green sprouts will emerge from the part of the corn cob touching the water surface. Roots will also slowly drill out.

3. Place the hydroponic corn cob in a place with good light and let it bask in the sun more. Basically, in only 1-2 weeks, the small sprouts on the corn cob will grow taller and taller.

4. If the corn grows too fast and the plastic bottle is too small, you can also choose to change containers. When all the corn kernels on the cob have grown tender leaves, it becomes a lush small potted plant. Place one at home and it instantly elevates the style!

Drop 1 sweet potato into water and it quickly winds around the wall for 2 m!

Every time you see someone else's pothos climbing all over the wall, do you all feel envious and jealous? But for gardeners with a black thumb, what should you do if you just cannot grow pothos well? Then why not try hydroponic sweet potato!

Planting steps:

1. To grow a healthy hydroponic sweet potato, first choose sweet potatoes with healthy skin and no wormholes. If the sweet potato at home has already sprouted naturally, then of course it will be even easier to keep alive!

2. Wash the sweet potato skin a few times, then directly place it in a bottle with one end facing down for hydroponics. Remember that the lower end of the sweet potato should slightly touch the water surface. Basically, it can take root in 10 days!

3. Hydroponic sweet potatoes grow very quickly. Place the bottle in direct sunlight, or in indoor indirect light. Basically, in only half a month, it can grow into a pot of sweet potato plant!

4. Gardeners who grow it well can even see the sweet potato bloom! Sweet potatoes bloom small purple flowers. At first glance, they look quite similar to morning glories!

5. Gardeners with a lot of space at home can also transfer the hydroponic sweet potato into a flowerpot to grow. As long as it gets sufficient sun and regular fertilizer, it can produce large sweet potatoes!

Drop 1 taro into water and it looks even better than dumb cane!

Huahua previously explained that gardeners with children at home should try not to grow dumb cane, because the stems of dumb cane are poisonous. So why not try replacing it with taro!

Planting steps:

1. Choose a few healthy taros, rinse the skin slightly with water, then put them into clean water.

2. In about 3-5 days, you will see the hydroponic taro sprout small buds!

3. Continue growing the taro in water. In about 1 week, new leaves will emerge. Then move the taro into the sun to bask, which can make its stems grow taller and taller!

4. Normally remember to change the water for the taro potted plant. You can add tap water that has been left standing for 1-2 days. No fertilizer is needed, and the taro leaves can still grow larger, even bigger than a palm!

Drop 1 handful of mung beans into water and the sprouts shoot up quickly!

Huahua drank mung bean soup all summer, and now really does not want to drink it anymore. What should be done with the leftover mung beans? Why not make a small bean sprout potted plant!

Planting steps:

1. Wash the mung beans clean, soak them in hot water for 10 minutes, then soak them in cold water for 6 hours. After that, wrap the mung beans in a wet paper towel. Basically, they will sprout in only 1 day!

2. Bend a thin wire into a support, then place the support over a glass cup with a relatively wide mouth.

3. Put the sprouted mung beans on it, fill the bottle with water, and let the mung bean roots touch the water surface.

4. About 1 week after planting, the small mung bean sprouts begin to slowly emerge!

5. Basically, in only 2 weeks, it turns into a beautiful small potted plant! But a bean sprout potted plant can only live for 1-2 months. If you want it to live longer, you need to add some hydroponic nutrient solution to the water.
