Grow narcissus in October: do these 3 steps well, and the leaves will be green, the stems thick, and the flowering period will come half a month earlier

Grow "narcissus" this way in October: green leaves, thick stems, and by doing these "3 steps" the flowering period comes half a month earlier
With the arrival of autumn, the weather turns cool and the temperature is suitable. For many flowers, autumn is also the golden period for their growth, such as clivia, crab claw orchid, kalanchoe, narcissus and hyacinth. They all enter a dormant period during the high temperatures of summer, and only enter the growth period when the temperature becomes suitable in autumn.
The cool October is also suitable for growing narcissus. Gardeners who have grown narcissus know that narcissus is generally cared for starting in autumn, and then blooms beautiful yellow flowers around the Spring Festival. Gardeners who have grown narcissus know that narcissus has relatively high requirements for temperature, light and fertilizer, so during care, you must pay attention to the ambient temperature and light intensity for the plant's growth.
Narcissus cultivation methods
Generally, narcissus can be grown in water or in soil. Growing narcissus in water is clean and simple: just place the narcissus in a tray, add clean water until the roots are submerged, and it is fine. During care, change the water normally and the plant will grow. Of course, narcissus can also be grown in soil; this way the plant grows faster, because the soil is rich in nutrients that can be quickly absorbed by the narcissus to promote growth.
In addition, when caring for narcissus in autumn, you must pay attention to 3 points. Only by doing these 3 points well can the narcissus bloom beautiful flowers, and it may even bloom earlier.
1. Suitable temperature
Narcissus is relatively sensitive to the temperature of its growing environment. If the temperature is too low, the plant will grow slowly; if the temperature is too high, the leaves will grow rapidly and become leggy. So when caring for narcissus, pay attention to controlling the ambient temperature. Generally, keeping the growing temperature at around 15-20 degrees Celsius allows the plant to grow normally. If the winter temperature is too low, the flower buds of the narcissus will also develop poorly and then fail to bloom, so in winter place it on a warm balcony with good light, and an ambient temperature of around 15°C is enough.
2. Suitable light
Narcissus is a light-loving plant. If it is kept for a long time in a shady place with poor light, the leaves will turn yellow and become leggy. So when caring for narcissus, it is best to place it on a ventilated balcony with scattered light, which lets the plant grow emerald green leaves and thick bulbs. Suitable light can also promote the development of flower buds, which makes the flowering period arrive earlier.
3. Reasonable fertilizing
Narcissus bulbs grown in autumn are generally quite large and rich in nutrients, but during care you can also supplement nutrients to the narcissus once every two weeks; just choose a normal nutrient solution. After changing the water, add one drop of nutrient solution to the water. For soil-grown narcissus, you can drip the nutrient solution into the soil for the plant's roots to absorb.
Only when temperature, light and fertilizing are reasonable can the narcissus grow quickly and bloom beautiful yellow flowers. Many gardeners find that when caring for narcissus, it becomes leggy and does not bloom. This is greatly related to light and temperature. You must give the plant suitable light and temperature during care so that it can grow healthily and bloom. Of course, if you want the narcissus to bloom quickly, you also need to carve its bulb, which is what we often call carved narcissus. You need to use a blade to carve on its bulb to promote the plant's growth.
