As people's living standards rise and improve, more and more people like to grow flowers, placing some plants and flowers at home or in the office, tending to them in their spare time, which can relieve fatigue and relax the mood. Importantly, growing flowers can also purify the air in the environment, which is of great benefit to the health of family members.

In fact, growing flowers is also a branch of knowledge, and there are many flower-growing tips and methods in it. Only after mastering some tips and methods can you handle flower growing with ease and raise the plants and flowers at home to be lush and green, with clusters of blooms. Of course, in daily life many flower lovers often have questions about why other people's flowers can be grown so well, while their own flowers always have yellow leaves, drop leaves, or even die. This requires accumulating some small flower-growing experience in daily life and then putting it into practice.

Today I will share with you a propagation method for Hippeastrum (amaryllis). Generally, the Hippeastrum bulb you buy is one bulb planted in one flower pot, and then one bulb sends out 1-2 flower stalks and then blooms. So how can you get more small Hippeastrum bulbs from one Hippeastrum bulb? Today I will share a method with you:

An expert grows Hippeastrum (amaryllis) by cutting "3 cuts" and giving it some care, and 1 bulb becomes 10 pots - saves money and works well

What I am sharing with you is cutting and dividing the Hippeastrum bulb to make it produce more side buds and grow into multiple small Hippeastrum bulbs. First of all, the flowering period of Hippeastrum is generally in winter and spring each year, so bulb division can be done in spring and autumn each year.

1. Choose a robust bulb, trim off all the leaves at its top, and make 1 cut here;

2. Dig away the soil at the edge of the Hippeastrum flower pot until its root system is exposed, but make sure the whole Hippeastrum bulb cannot loosen in the soil, then peel off the dried outer layer of the bulb scales to expose the fresh scales;

3. Use a sterilized blade to make two cross-shaped cuts on the Hippeastrum, stopping 5 mm before the roots;

4. Then prepare two stainless steel wires crossed in a cross shape, insert them into the cut gaps, and prop the Hippeastrum open, but be very careful not to tear it off from the root system;

After the above 4 steps, the work is basically complete. You can place the cut potted Hippeastrum in a cool place on the balcony for normal care. Do not water it in the first week; just keep the soil slightly moist. After one week, place it in a place with scattered light, which can speed up the plant's rapid differentiation and the growth of small buds. Generally, after about one month you will see dense small buds growing out from the side of the Hippeastrum. Once the small bulbs grow larger, you can carry out division propagation. This propagation method is very efficient, and you can quickly obtain more small Hippeastrum bulbs without spending money. It is simple and convenient. After cutting propagation, one bulb can become 10 bulbs.
