Nantou Tea Expo meets you and shares fragrance with you at Zhongxing New Village from the 6th

Now in its ninth edition, the "Nantou World Tea Industry Expo" will grandly take the stage at Zhongxing New Village from October 6 to 14. During the 9-day exhibition period, there will not only be a rich and high-quality tea industry exhibition and sales as well as tea culture performances from various countries, but on holidays there will also be exciting activities such as a thousand-person tea rubbing, a thousand-person tea gathering, a thousand-person picnic and a lawn concert. The Nantou County Government held a press conference in the county government atrium on the 2nd. County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen, in the role of Tea Uncle, gave an advance preview of the tea expo activities and welcomed tourists from all over the country to come to Nantou to taste tea and buy tea.

The press conference opened with a grand entrance by a group dressed as Qing dynasty emperors and concubines, introducing this year's theme activity of the tea champion in the Golden Tea Tasting Hall. In his speech, County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen particularly emphasized that this year's tea expo activities improved on the shortcomings of previous years and made efforts in environmental facilities. Air conditioning was installed in all exhibition halls, wooden pallets were laid, and the routes were adjusted to create a comfortable tea-tasting and experience environment. Together with the high-quality tea and specialty agricultural products of farmers, it is believed that this will surely boost buying enthusiasm and make the event more successful and better. It is hoped that this year the number of visitors can exceed 600,000.

This year's tea expo takes "Sharing Fragrance, Meeting" as its theme, allowing visitors to meet tea people through the fragrance of tea, making the tea-drinking demographic younger, and letting consumers come drawn by the aroma and join the ranks of tea drinkers. The Tea Culture Promotion Association also set up "Tea and Tea Sweets Meeting Time" in the Zhongxing Hall, allowing the public to experience Taiwan tea sweets paired with local specialty tea, sipping tea with snacks, and raising the public's interest in tea food culture.

In order to pass on tea culture, this year a "Little Tea Master Hall" was added, giving elementary school children in the county a chance to face visitors and perform tea ceremony demonstrations, allowing children to experience it firsthand, learn about Taiwan's tea industry through interactive activities, and further drive the tea-drinking trend among young students.
