Yesterday a flower lover who likes camellias left a message, saying they wanted to buy a pot of camellias, and asked how to care for them after bringing them home? Today Chengcheng will explain it to everyone!

Many flower lovers, when buying camellias, like to buy camellias with buds, but if the camellias we buy have buds, then after bringing them home, there are two points that need special attention, otherwise the buds will easily drop!

1. Don't rush to repot

Many flower lovers, after bringing camellias home, like to give them a pot they like, but this is wrong, because camellias are a rather delicate variety. After we bring them home, we must first let them adapt to the temperature and humidity at home. If we rush to change the pot while they are still not adapted to the temperature and humidity at home, buds and leaves will easily drop!

So, for newly bought camellias, never rush to repot them. If the soil in the original pot is a bit little, and some roots are exposed outside, then we can just sprinkle some ordinary nutrient soil on the surface of the soil!

2. Pinch off all the leaves covering the buds

When we buy camellias, we all like to choose one with rather lush leaves, but if what we buy is a camellia with buds, then after bringing it home, the first thing to do is pinch off all the leaves covering the buds! Let the buds all be exposed outside and receive sufficient light!

And also remove some of the excessive buds. For example, for the buds at the top we can keep a few more, 5-6 can be kept on one branch, but for the buds at the bottom, we'd better not keep so many, generally keeping 1-2 is enough! Because the top receives relatively sufficient light, while the bottom receives limited light!

Actually, the best time to buy camellias is spring, because if you buy them in spring and keep them at home for half a year, they will have a period of adaptation, and when winter comes there won't be the phenomenon of buds and leaves dropping!
