How to care for a small money tree seedling? A seedling given by a friend grows into a big tree in one year

Yesterday a flower-loving friend left a message asking how to care for a money tree. Actually, growing a money tree well is very simple. Last year a friend gave me a small money tree seedling, and this year it has grown into a small tree. Today I will tell you how I did it!
First, the money trees we buy are generally grown in pure garden soil, and garden soil has very poor water permeability and air permeability, so it is not suitable for growing flowers in pots at home. So after we buy it and bring it home, once the potting soil has dried out completely, we need to repot it into loose, breathable soil!
It does not have to be some very expensive soil either. If we do not want to buy soil, then using a mix of garden soil and river sand is fine too. Use 40% garden soil and 60% river sand, mix them evenly, and then pot it up directly!
Second, after we have planted the money tree well, there is the matter of routine care. Whether a money tree can be grown well depends to a very important extent on routine watering. The money tree both likes water and fears water, because at its roots there is a potato-like tuber. If we water too much, it will rot; if we water too little, it cannot supply enough water to the leaves!
So if we have no experience growing money trees, the best watering method is: do not water until the soil has dried out completely, and when watering, water thoroughly! This way it will not lack water, and root rot from overwatering is also avoided!
In addition, many people say the money tree does not like light and cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. This statement is actually wrong!
The money tree does not dislike light; it is only afraid of intense sunlight and scorching. For example, at noon in summer, when the light is very strong, if we put the money tree under the sun to be scorched, it is very easy to sunburn the leaves! And if it is not given sunlight at other times, its leaves will be dull and lusterless, and will not look glossy!
And as a foliage plant, the beauty of the money tree lies in its leaves, so apart from not scorching it in summer, in the other seasons we must place it in a spot with plenty of light!
Growing a money tree well really is not hard at all: loose, breathable soil, the usual practice of watering thoroughly after the soil dries out, and giving it more sunlight. If you want it to grow a bit faster, give it some three-element compound fertilizer. It is just that simple!
