Reasons for White Spots on Cucumber Leaves and How to Fix Them
1. Avoid Direct Cold Wind
Cause: If cold wind blows directly onto warm leaves, the leaves will lose their green color and white spots will form.
Solution: When ventilating, ventilate facing away from the wind direction, and open the vent gradually from small to large without rushing. Alternatively, hang a sheet of plastic film on the inner side of the vent, which can also prevent cold wind from blowing directly onto the plants.
2. Provide Timely Insulation
Cause: If the temperature stays above 0°C for a long time but below the temperature at which the plant grows normally, yellow-white chlorotic spots are likely to appear on the leaves, and the leaves may even wither and die. Slow growth or failure of the plant to develop roots may also occur.
Solution: Identify the cause of the low temperature, take insulation measures, and keep daytime temperatures between 25°C and 30°C, with nighttime temperatures no lower than 10°C, and preferably between 10°C and 18°C.
