As living standards rise, many people keep a few houseplants at home, such as pothos, money tree, and happiness tree, bringing a touch of green into their homes. Growing houseplants also takes some skill, especially when it comes to fertilizing. As autumn arrives, many houseplants slowly resume growth, and their need for water and fertilizer clearly increases. Today Hua'er will show you how, after the start of autumn, to water houseplants with this kind of "green leaf water" - the leaves turn so green they seem to ooze oil, and new shoots keep sprouting nonstop!

This "nutrient water" is fermented soybean water. Long-term use of soybean water can make houseplant leaves even more glossy and green, with new shoots sprouting nonstop and lush branches and leaves. This is because soybeans are rich in protein, and after fermentation they release a large amount of nitrogen and some other trace elements, and nitrogen is an essential element for the growth of houseplant stems and leaves.

The specific method: take an appropriate amount of soybeans, first soak them in clean water overnight, then after they have plumped up put them in a pressure cooker and simmer for about one hour. After cooling, you can first scoop out the soybeans, then mash them and put them into a large bottle, then pour the soybean cooking liquid in as well. You can put a little orange peel in it, which can speed up fermentation and remove the odor. Keep adding clean water until the bottle is 80% full, shake gently, and then seal it.

Soybean fermentation takes a relatively short time. Generally, it can be used in half a month, but at that point the smell is quite strong. If you cannot stand it, you can leave it for another half a month before using it.

After fermentation is complete, it must be filtered, and only then is this "green leaf water" finished. Before watering, it still needs to be diluted with water, at a dilution ratio of about 1:50, and applied once every 7-10 days. The houseplants will grow like crazy, with glossy green leaves, increasing their ornamental value.

That is all for houseplant care. If flower lovers have anything to add, you can share it with everyone in the comments section below. If you want to learn more about growing flowers, you can follow Huajianke!
