Pothos has always been one of the more popular green plants in daily life. Its fresh and lovely leaves, its lush green color, and its ability to purify the air are all reasons flower lovers like it! So many people keep several pots of pothos at home, which decorates the home while also benefiting the family's health! If you want pothos at home, you don't necessarily have to spend money buying it outside, because pothos is actually very easy to keep alive. We can also grow pothos in pots by cuttings. Below, let me introduce the method for rooting pothos cuttings. Don't waste money buying pothos! Just snap off 1 stem, and you can root 1 pot from cuttings, growing like crazy as if it were on hormones!

If you already have pothos at home, you just need to select 1 stem from it. If you don't have pothos at home but your neighbor does, you can also ask your neighbor for a stem to root as a cutting. There is a knack to selecting pothos stems: the stem must be a bit thick, cut to about 5 cm, and ideally have 1 to 3 leaves. Only when these conditions are met can it take root and sprout tender shoots. Also, when cutting, it's best to cut at a slant, preferably at about a 45-degree angle, so it roots faster. Alternatively, choose a section of stem and keep one node, and it can also be used for cuttings!

Once the stem is ready, the next step is rooting the cutting. First, prepare a suitable flower pot. For better bushy growth later, the pot opening can be a bit wider. The soil should ideally be a bit loose. Actually, ordinary soil will also work, but if you want fast rooting, it's best to use coconut coir for rooting the cutting. Directly insert the prepared stem into the soil, then place it in the sun for a few days to sterilize and kill bacteria, to prevent disease from infecting and harming the pothos. After sunning, spray a little water to keep the soil moist. Loose, breathable soil is more conducive to the growth and respiration of pothos!

After rooting the cutting, it's all about care. Pothos is still relatively easy to keep alive, so generally after the cutting is rooted, it doesn't need much attention. You just need to do well in the two aspects of light and watering. In terms of light, first avoid direct sunlight, and usually place it in a spot with diffused light, so the pothos has enough light energy for photosynthesis and can also promote rooting. For regular watering, just water 2 to 3 times a week; no need for too much. Follow this method to root pothos cuttings, and it will basically take root in half a month. It won't be long before new shoots grow, growing rapidly into a full pot, growing like crazy as if it were on hormones! Rooting one pot from one stem is not a difficult thing!
