[Bonsai enthusiast's reflections]

Text by Zhou Yingzhi, Xiamen, Fujian

The truly wise are surely modest and gentle, the truly good are surely tolerant; only the petty wise are aggressive, only the petty good are calculating. Those with great bearing do not put on a show; those who put on a great show reveal a petty bearing. Great talent is plain and unadorned, small talent is showy without substance; the greatly accomplished are humble and calm, the slightly accomplished are insufferably arrogant. A truly elegant person must have a heart that embraces all things and treats all beings with leniency; a truly noble person, facing those stronger than themselves, is neither servile nor overbearing, and facing those weaker than themselves, treats them as equals.

What is business? "Sheng" means stranger, "yi" means satisfaction; serve a stranger of a customer to satisfaction, and a "business" is achieved.

No matter how big your business is, doing just two things well is enough! One is your product, the other is your character. The product determines your existence, character determines your connections, and the rest is persistence, winning more business with kindness and sincerity! Grateful for every friend encountered in life!
