Bougainvillea watering tips to make the flowering period last up to half a year

How should you water bougainvillea when it is blooming? Bougainvillea is fairly easy to grow, and it is a variety that blooms quite readily. Everyone probably knows that if you want bougainvillea to bloom multiple times, you must use water control treatment. Water control means letting the potting soil dry out and the leaves wilt, and then watering it. After treating it this way for a period of time, it will produce flower buds and bloom. So after it has produced flower buds and is blooming, how should we water it?

You only need to remember one thing: bougainvillea cannot lack water when it is producing buds and blooming. If your indoor ventilation is good, and the light is also sufficient, and the soil is loose and breathable, then when the surface of the potting soil is dry, just water it thoroughly. If the ventilation is not good and the soil is a bit compacted, and it is hard for you to control watering, you can find a bamboo skewer and insert it into the potting soil. Insert it halfway into the potting soil, and whenever you want to water, pull out the bamboo skewer and take a look. If the bamboo skewer has no moisture, just water it thoroughly.
