Rose cuttings sprout white roots in 7 days - learn to make your own propagator from a mineral water bottle

As people's living standards rise and improve, more and more people like to keep some plants and flowers at home. In many homes, people often grow plants such as pothos, spider plant, clivia, rose, Christmas cactus and kalanchoe. They are not only grown for their foliage, but some also produce beautiful flowers, making them both attractive and elegant in the home.
It is now the cool autumn season, suitable for propagating many flowers, especially plants like Christmas cactus, kalanchoe and rose. Autumn is a good time for cuttings, but many gardening enthusiasts tend to fail in the process, burying the cuttings in sandy soil, where the stems struggle to grow roots and eventually rot.
Today I will share a handy and simple cutting tip: a mineral water bottle can solve the problem. Just place the trimmed cutting in a plastic bottle with water, and it will root in 7 days.
When taking rose cuttings, trim the rose stems properly, generally cutting 5-8 cm of vigorous current-year growth, cut the bottom at an angle, and leave only one leaf at the top to reduce the cutting's nutrient consumption during later growth.
One mineral water bottle for rooting rose cuttings, roots in 7 days
Prepare a clean mineral water bottle, pour 1 cm of clean water into the bottom, then place the cutting in a 0.2% carbendazim aqueous solution and soak for five minutes to sterilise and disinfect. After drying, insert the trimmed cutting directly into the bottle, then immerse the base in the water. The mineral water bottle does not need a lid; place the bottle on a windowsill with indirect light.

Putting the rose cutting in a plastic bottle keeps in moisture and warmth, providing good conditions for the cutting to root; just place the bottle on the windowsill, and with suitable temperature and light, the cutting immersed in water will quickly grow white roots. Generally, white roots appear in 7 days, then after another week of care, you can cut the bottle open, take out the cutting and pot it up for planting.
This method of handling cuttings can effectively promote rooting, and in the later potting and care process, the survival rate can reach almost 100%. It is a very useful plant cutting tip, and of course this method can also be used for kalanchoe and Christmas cactus.
Autumn temperatures are suitable; after potting, the rose cutting can be kept on a windowsill, watered normally and kept with moist soil. It is best to place the potted plant in a ventilated environment, otherwise the cutting is prone to disease.
