Buxus Newbie Spent 500 Yuan on a Pot, After Pruning, Is This Binding Ruining It?

Newbie Seeking Help: When Styling a Bonsai, How Should the Branches Be Tied? Spent 500 Yuan on a Buxus, Pruned It a Bit, and Then Tied It Like This. Did I Ruin It With Pruning?
Recently, Mr. Li has started to enjoy the life of growing flowers and plants. Yesterday, at a flower market, he spent 500 yuan on a Buxus, took it home, and potted it himself. After potting, he felt it was not artistic enough, so he took scissors and pruned it himself, then bound it with wire to give the Buxus a shape. However, as a bonsai newbie, the process did not go smoothly. For example, wire that was too thick he could not twist by hand, while thin wire could not hold a shape, so he could only pull with wire and then twist with pliers. Now, he just wants to ask all the masters: has this pot of Buxus been ruined by his pruning?
Regarding the question raised by Mr. Li, fellow flower grower Mr. Wang said that Buxus is not easy to bend, because forcibly bending Buxus downward can very likely break its branches. If you really want to bend it, wire is not suitable; you can bind it with palm fiber. The specific method: first use a metal hook as the fixing point on the main trunk, then saw a slit below the branch, then wrap it with plastic strips, then you can wrap the branch with metal wire, then bend it, and then bind it with palm fiber. From the picture above, there are indeed signs of it being ruined by pruning.
If there is no palm fiber and only wire or other metal wire can be used, then to prevent the metal wire from sinking into the bark of the Buxus branches, it is best to use cotton cloth, kraft paper, or other plastic products, make them into strips, and wrap the metal wire. When necessary, the trunk being bent can also be wrapped, and then tied. This is more appropriate.
Finally, Mr. Wang also suggested to Mr. Li that he switch to a shallower pot for growing the Buxus. This kind of Buxus bonsai in a deep pot really looks very, very ugly!
