Rose roots in water in 1 month, blooms better than red roses
Huahua told this friend, of course it works!
So today Huahua will take this question as an opportunity to explain to everyone how to propagate roses by water cuttings.
Whether water propagation or soil propagation, the first step is of course to find the branches needed for the rose cuttings. When selecting branches, be sure to choose relatively healthy and sturdy rose branches, and they must be from the current year's growth. Cut the branches into small sections of about 10 cm, and remove the leaf stalks.
Then place the branches in a container filled with water. Beginners may not be quite sure how deep the branch should be inserted to be reasonable and appropriate. Huahua tells everyone here that generally in cutting propagation, one third of the branch is placed in water or soil. If the mouth of the container cannot support the branch to grow vertically, we can use a foam board.
When taking rose cuttings, we should note that it is best not to use a transparent container. During the rooting process of the rose, we need to provide some shading for the plant. If the light is relatively strong, it will prolong the plant's rooting.
During cutting propagation, also note that the water for the rose should be changed once a week. Whether shading the plant or changing the water, both are meant to help the rose root and grow better. Everyone should pay attention to these two points.
After about 1 month, the rose can take root. After rooting, the rose must be transferred into soil to survive and grow better. Beginners should not panic; transplanting is not that difficult. We can slowly add soil to the water. At the beginning there is a lot of water in the soil, roughly a half-dry, half-wet state, and then gradually add soil until it is all soil.
In this way, the transplant can be successfully completed. After a successful transplant, do not directly place the flower in the sun, and even more, do not expose the rose to the blazing sun. Keep it in a shady place for about a week, and then it can appropriately get some sunlight.
This is the method for propagating roses by water cuttings. Actually, Huahua thinks water propagation is not simpler than soil propagation, because it involves the later transplanting issue. But if some friends still like the water propagation method, they can also refer to this article by Huahua.
When the rose slowly grows into a potted plant, it is so beautiful when it blooms!
