These 3 plants can be grown in water, and they still thrive without changing pots
Huahua also keeps these 3 plants at home. Although their care methods are relatively simple, yellow leaves and drying out still happen sometimes. Huahua posted these problems in the flower lovers' group, and an experienced flower lover gave some advice, saying that these 3 plants grow better when grown in water. Next, Huahua will share the hydroponic methods and precautions with everyone!
1. Asparagus fern
The asparagus fern is best placed in a study, because it carries an elegant, scholarly air and looks very refined. Its slender branches and leaves shaped like those of pine and cypress look lushly green and eye-catching. In fact, if the asparagus fern is grown hydroponically, it can root even faster.
The hydroponic treatment for asparagus fern is fairly simple. First, dig the asparagus fern to be grown hydroponically out of the soil, and remember to be gentle when digging so as not to damage the roots. For the asparagus fern taken out of the soil, use clean water to wash the dirt off its roots. Then find a container, fill it with water, and put the asparagus fern in; at this point, the roots should make up about one half of the water level. If you want the asparagus fern to grow more vigorously, you can also drip a few drops of nutrient solution into the water, and in about half a month you will see "little white whiskers" emerge.
2. Pothos
Pothos is surely familiar to every plant grower. Because of its easy care and super strong air-purifying ability, pothos is loved by many people. Usually, we can buy one pot of pothos and use it for cuttings to get several pots. But next time you take cuttings, remember to switch to water; this way they root faster and look even more beautiful!
The stems selected for hydroponic cuttings are best if relatively sturdy, which ensures the rooting speed afterward. After choosing the cuttings, if conditions allow, first soak the stems in a carbendazim solution for a while; this can disinfect and sterilize them and prevent pest and disease infection. Finally, put the treated pothos stems directly into the water-filled container prepared in advance, and you are done. Pothos grown in water also has leaves that look plump and dewy.
3. English ivy
English ivy is a common vine plant in homes. Water and fertilize it regularly, and its branches can spread across the whole room, like a different kind of "creeping fig." English ivy can also be grown hydroponically. Those who like it can take a look too.
English ivy itself likes to grow in a humid environment. Keep one of its stems in water and drip in a few drops of nutrient solution, and you will surely see it root and sprout before long.
If your home happens to have these 3 plants just like Huahua, you can try this hydroponic method; the growth results will be better than you expect!
