Succulent seedling care: get the temperature right and one pot can live for years

When growing succulents at home, since the root system of succulent seedlings is not yet strong enough, you need to pay attention to temperature control during care, keeping the seedlings in a relatively comfortable temperature range (15-25°C) as much as possible. This not only reduces the energy the succulent uses while adjusting to its pot, but also speeds up the process. If all the above conditions can be met, a newly bought succulent will not only enter its growing period smoothly, but will also settle into its pot ten times faster than usual.
A gardening enthusiast said: a friend gave me three succulent Rosularia seedlings (Sempervivum 'Guanyinlian'), and all three small seedlings have very short roots. He said they will take root as long as they are placed on the soil, is that true? I have just put them on the soil and buried the roots in it. The soil is not special succulent soil, but it is still quite moist, and I do not know whether they will survive.
First of all, the succulent Rosularia (Sempervivum 'Guanyinlian') can be propagated by cuttings, and there is absolutely no problem with cutting propagation. However, note that you must wait for the wounds on the seedlings to dry before planting. If you do not have bought soil, soil mixed with sandy soil will also work. It is best if the bottom of the pot has holes, and placing a few pieces of broken tile there will improve drainage. Rosularia is super easy to grow, and after settling into its pot it absolutely loves the sun. Give it sunlight, and water only when the soil is completely dry. When watering, do not pour from the top; water from the side. Pay attention to shading in summer. There is nothing else to worry about.
As for choosing flower pots, many gardening enthusiasts worry about the trouble of repotting later, so they use large pots to plant small succulent seedlings, but in fact this is not good for the care of small succulent seedlings. Because a large pot means more soil, and after watering, the moisture will evaporate relatively slowly, or the remaining moisture may even persist until the next day. At noon, for the seedling roots this is no different from a "sauna", and damp heat is the biggest factor in succulents dying.
How do you care for Haworthia maughanii seedlings? For Haworthia maughanii seedlings, developing the roots is very important. Haworthia maughanii roots are fleshy and have no obvious main root; any root can transform into a thick, water-storing root under specific conditions. The seedling root system is very shallow, so do not transplant frequently and try to plant them in their final position in one step. Haworthia maughanii likes a warm, dry environment with plenty of sunlight, tolerates drought, fears waterlogging and scorching sun exposure, is not cold-tolerant, and requires a large temperature difference between day and night. Its main growing period is in spring and autumn, when it should be given sufficient but soft light, avoiding strong direct sunlight.
The most important things for getting through summer are ventilation and shading. As for watering, you should reduce watering appropriately. Although they are seedlings, you still cannot water too much, because in summer too much water very easily suffocates the roots and causes black rot. Generally, depending on the soil condition, watering once every 3-5 days is fine. Note that you must water at night, and do not water during the day.
