Some indoor plants can bring health benefits to people, purifying indoor air or improving indoor oxygen levels, and some plants kept at home can add vitality. The indoor plants I want to introduce to you below are very easy to care for, can greatly improve the home environment, and can survive for months at home without any attention.

1. Zebra Haworthia

Zebra Haworthia (Haworthia fasciata) also belongs to a variety of aloe, and is especially easy to care for. Its leaves are very hard and the plant is short, making it very suitable as a small desktop potted plant. It has very low light requirements and extremely strong drought tolerance, and can grow well in a warm and dry environment year-round.

When caring for Zebra Haworthia, avoid frequent watering, keep the minimum care temperature above 5°C, and keep the growing location at least in bright light.

2. Spider Plant

Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum) is suitable for growing in bright light or an environment with appropriate scattered light. It can grow well with only occasional watering, making it very suitable for keeping at home. It can also be grown as an indoor hanging basket plant, growing well when simply suspended in the air.

Spider Plant has good adaptability to the environment, with a well-developed root system and relatively strong drought tolerance. It can also purify indoor air very well, absorbing harmful gases such as carbon monoxide.

3. Ponytail Palm

Ponytail Palm (Beaucarnea recurvata), also called elephant's foot tree, is an extremely drought-tolerant tropical foliage plant. It can grow vigorously in a sunny place and can also maintain a good survival state in a shaded indoor spot. It has a very peculiar form: its leaves droop like a young girl's hair, and the base of the stem is swollen and full of water, so it can survive one to two months at home without watering.

4. Pothos

Many friends fail at keeping Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) indoors, usually because of overly frequent watering or excessive exposure to strong sunlight. Pothos can grow well in scattered light or a bright indoor space. If kept in a dark place for too long, its leaves will turn yellow. Timely pruning of the yellow leaves and moving it to a bright place will restore it to a healthy state.

For Pothos kept indoors, it can survive even without watering for a month. Its leaves droop, and a single session of bottom-watering is enough to fully revive it.

5. Lucky Bamboo

Lucky Bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana) is very suitable for growing indoors and can maintain a good growing state in bright light and a warm environment year-round. It is very suitable for hydroponic care: just prepare a container without drainage holes, fill it with a little clean water, and then place the Lucky Bamboo in it to grow hydroponically.

During hydroponic care, as long as the clean water has not become cloudy, there is no need to change it. It can go several months without management. During care, do not leave too many leaves at the base of the Lucky Bamboo stem, otherwise yellow leaves are likely to appear. Maintain appropriate air humidity and avoid excessive dryness.

6. Cactus

Cactus-type plants kept indoors also do not need frequent care, such as the common white-haired cactus or yellow-haired cactus. They should grow in loose, breathable, and well-draining potting soil. Keep the care location in bright light with appropriate scattered light. During the growing season, maintain ventilation and light penetration. They do not need frequent watering; water thoroughly only after the soil has completely dried out.
