Money tree leaves turning yellow like rust - find these 3 causes and it can still be saved

More and more people love growing flowers, and many gardening enthusiasts keep some green potted plants at home. They can not only purify the air but also decorate the room. In particular, some flowers placed in the room carry beautiful meanings, such as lucky bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana), which kept at home carries the beautiful meaning of good fortune and prosperity; the money tree (Pachira aquatica), which kept at home has the effect of attracting and boosting wealth; the peace lily (Spathiphyllum), which placed at home symbolizes family peace and health, and so on - these flowers are all excellent potted plants.
However, sometimes when growing some flowers and plants at home, if you do not understand their growth habits, or when the growing environment does not suit the plant's growth, the plant will develop leaf diseases or root rot. Even though these are plants with very beautiful meanings, the appearance of these problems still makes people uneasy. So today I want to share with you how to deal with yellow rust appearing on money tree leaves, hoping it can help you.
"Yellow rust" on money tree leaves - there are problems in these 3 aspects. Do this and it can still be saved!
The money tree is a very popular household potted plant. The plants come in large and small sizes, and can be placed on a desk or in a living room - they are all very attractive potted plants. Keeping a money tree at home, especially in winter, makes it very easy for yellow leaves, root rot, and rust-yellow leaves to appear. Generally, when these situations occur, it is mainly because 3 problems have arisen during care.
1. Improper watering and fertilizing, leaving ferrous sulfate residue on the leaves
When caring for a money tree, many gardening enthusiasts may spray water or a ferrous sulfate aqueous solution on the leaves. If you spray water that has been left standing for a long time onto the money tree leaves, it is very easy for rust-yellow leaves to appear. For this situation, you need to rinse the money tree leaves with clean water, and when watering in the future, try to use tap water that has been left to stand for the day; another situation is when you spray a ferrous sulfate aqueous solution on the money tree leaves or apply ferrous sulfate to the pot, and the ferrous sulfate drips onto the leaves. This will definitely cause the leaves to turn yellow. The solution is very simple: just wash the rust off the leaves with clean water.
2. Rot appearing in the plant's root system
Of course, there is also a situation where the money tree's root system has already begun to rot. In this case, it is mainly because the flowerpot is usually watered too frequently, causing too much water to accumulate in the pot and leading to root rot. So for this situation, it is best to dig the money tree out of the pot, prune it, soak it in a 0.2% carbendazim aqueous solution for 20 minutes, let it dry, and then change the soil and replant it in a pot.
3. Shaded growing environment and poor ventilation
The money tree likes to grow in an environment with good ventilation and good light, so during normal care it is best to place it in the living room near the balcony. When this situation occurs, it may also be caused by the money tree's growing environment being shaded and poorly ventilated. You can move the potted plant to the balcony or outdoors for care, then prune off the yellow leaves, control watering, and just keep the soil slightly moist.
