Detailed Explanation of Mushroom Cultivation Methods and Key Technical Points
1. Choosing a Container and Medium
You can use an old fish tank or a glass container to grow mushrooms. Build a mushroom nutrient bed inside the container to support its growth and provide nutrients. You can either buy the materials for the bed or make them yourself; they can be prepared from cottonseed hulls, corn cobs, wood shavings, lotus seed shells, and so on. Sprinkling a small amount of lime at the bottom of the medium can greatly help its growth.
2. Planting Method
Simply sow the mushroom spores about 5 cm deep into the nutrient medium, then keep the temperature at around 21°C. After about 3 weeks, a thin, spiderweb-like white mycelium will appear on the medium. At this point, lower the temperature to around 16°C, then cover with 2 to 3 cm of potting soil. Then spray water on the soil frequently to keep it moist, and harvest when the caps have not fully opened.
