How to Grow Leaf Lettuce? A Detailed Guide to Planting Methods and Key Management Points
1. Germination
First, soak the seeds in clean water overnight, then take them out. Prepare a shallow container, lay 2 layers of wet paper towels on it, spread the seeds on top, cover the container with plastic film, and place it in a warm environment to germinate. Once 80% of the seeds have sprouted white, they can be sown.
2. Sowing
Sow the seeds that have already sprouted white into a flower pot or garden soil that has been thoroughly watered. After sowing, sprinkle about 0.5 cm of thin soil on top, and be careful to keep the soil moist; they will sprout in about a week.
3. Management
When growing the seedlings, be careful to give them appropriate light and water, and do not expose them to high-temperature light for long periods. If the light is intense, you can shade them appropriately. Once the leaf lettuce has grown 3 to 4 true leaves, fertilizing for care is enough.
