How to Grow Gourds? A Planting Guide from Sowing to Harvest
Before sowing gourd seeds, soak them in warm water for about 20 minutes, then wrap the seeds in moist gauze or toilet paper and place them in a container in a warm environment, keeping them moist. They will sprout in about a week. Then plant the seeds in prepared soil, water thoroughly, and seedlings will appear after one week.
1. Germination
First soak the gourd seeds in warm water for about 20 minutes, rub them clean, then wrap the seeds in moist gauze or toilet paper and place them in a container on a balcony or in another warm environment. Be sure to keep the seeds moist, misting them with a little water every day, and they will sprout in about 1 week.
2. Sowing
Prepare a flower pot and soil, apply an appropriate amount of base fertilizer to the soil, then water the pot soil thoroughly. Dig small holes about 3 to 4 cm deep in the surface of the soil, place the sprouted seeds with the sprout facing down, gently cover them with soil, then water again. With careful tending, seedlings will grow after one week.
