The easiest plant for lazy people to grow: water it once a month and it will fill the pot

Nowadays everyone grows flowers, and it seems that in today's society growing flowers has become a method similar to health preservation. After all, in the past, growing flowers and tending plants was something only older people liked to do, right? Young people who grow flowers prefer ones that are easy to care for, so that when they come home from work every day they don't need to put in too much effort. A couple of days ago, Huahua got a super easy-to-grow plant, and now it's time to recommend it to everyone!

This plant is called qingxiangmu (Dahlbergia odorifera). It has now become Huahua's "favorite," because it is extremely low-maintenance when it comes to watering alone. Even if you water it only once a month, it can still grow very well, making it especially suitable for novice flower growers. Being easy to care for is one big advantage, and another is that this plant gives off a fresh fragrance all over. Put one pot at home, and you'll probably save on aromatherapy too!

In appearance, qingxiangmu looks no different from ordinary green plants. Its long green branches bear evenly sized small green leaves, and from a distance they even look glossy and shiny. If there are friends who like a plant like qingxiangmu, then come along with Huahua to learn about how to care for it. It's guaranteed to be simple and easy to remember!

1. Light

Qingxiangmu grows best when cared for in a place with ample light. It can be exposed to sunlight every day, which allows it to absorb energy from the sun to provide the nutrients needed for growth. However, during high temperatures in summer, remember to provide shade, otherwise the scorching sunlight may burn the leaves. Never take the easy way out and directly put qingxiangmu in a dark place to grow, because it will quickly develop yellow leaves and eventually die.

2. Watering

There is one requirement for watering qingxiangmu: it must be watered thoroughly. Never give it half-hearted watering, as this can easily cause water accumulation and lead to root rot. Normally, keep the watering frequency for qingxiangmu at about once every 5 days. In autumn and winter, as the temperature gradually drops, the number of waterings and the amount of water can be reduced accordingly.

3. Fertilizing

Qingxiangmu is generally given a "free-range" care model, so with less watering, the amount of fertilizer naturally decreases as well. Qingxiangmu is very sensitive to fertilizer concentration, so generally applying a little dilute fertilizer water is enough. Remember that it cannot be fertilized during the seedling stage, otherwise it will burn the roots. When it is growing vigorously, a small amount of additional fertilizer can be applied. Remember, a small amount!

4. Temperature

Qingxiangmu can be considered relatively cold-tolerant among plants, because it can withstand low temperatures of minus ten degrees to grow. However, in autumn and winter it is still best to bring it back indoors for care, keeping the temperature at around 20 degrees.

These are the specific care methods for qingxiangmu. If you want your qingxiangmu to grow even more vigorously, you can prune its branches regularly, and then new buds will keep coming out. If you have any other flowers and plants suitable for "lazy people" to care for, hurry up and recommend them to Huahua!
