How much does it cost to grow one mu of wheat from sowing to harvest?

Summary: To grow one mu of wheat, how much does it cost from sowing to harvest?
The autumn harvest has already begun. Last week I called home, and my family said the peanuts and corn had all been harvested. Ours is garlic stubble, so the peanuts and corn were harvested a bit earlier; the wheat stubble ones probably have not started harvesting yet, but it will be soon. So then the question comes: what to plant for the next crop? Some plant garlic, some plant Chinese cabbage, radish, cauliflower, spinach, rapeseed, choy sum, etc. But Scientific Agriculture believes that most people still plant winter wheat. So to grow one mu of wheat, how much money needs to be invested for the whole process from planting to harvest?
After the corn harvest, straw burning is no longer allowed now, and hauling away so much corn straw is not only laborious but there is nowhere to put it, so it can only be processed by mechanical chopping. Chopping straw generally costs 50-60 yuan per mu. Before planting wheat, the field also has to be plowed again; rotary tilling plus leveling and harrowing plus sowing costs about another 100 yuan per mu. Just the land preparation cost alone comes to 150-160 yuan/mu.
There is also fertilizer, seed, and seed dressing agent. At market price, seed is 2.5 yuan per jin, with 30 jin used per mu, which is 75 yuan. Wheat seed dressing agent costs about 25 yuan per mu. For fertilizer, choose a compound fertilizer with a formula of 24-12-6, one bag per mu, costing about 130. Added together, that is about 230.
Management costs: herbicide is 10 yuan per mu; watering 2-3 times, 30 yuan each time; topdressing 30 jin of urea, 30 yuan; the "one spray, three defenses" pesticide for wheat costs about 60 yuan. This item adds up to 160-190 yuan/mu. Harvesting cost: 50 yuan per mu.
In summary, these costs add up to a total of 590-630 yuan/mu. This cost is fixed and cannot be avoided. Moreover, these costs do not yet take labor into account. If the land is your own, the labor item is not counted, and growing one mu of wheat still requires a minimum investment of 600 yuan. If the land is contracted, then in addition to the land rent, you also have to add 2-3 workdays, and this labor cost is about 300 yuan. Based on this year's wheat market, the wheat purchase price is 1.2 yuan/jin. If the average wheat yield per mu is calculated at 1000 jin, selling the grain can bring in 1200 yuan.
You can calculate it for yourselves: if it is your own field, after working for a whole season, you can earn 500-600 yuan, which is not as much as working outside for two or three days. In a disaster year, you might even lose money. If you rent land, then over a year, you cannot make money in the wheat season, and after deducting input costs from the next crop, basically nothing is left. This is the current state of agricultural production.
It is a pity not to plant the field, but if you plant it, you do not make money. So what exactly should be done? Scientific Agriculture believes that if you only have 1-2 mu of private plot left, growing it yourself is understandable. If your family has 8-10 mu of field and there is no labor available at home, then it would be better to entrust the field to someone else, leaving yourself free and easy, and you can also go out to work and earn some extra money.
