Everyone probably knows that for plants to grow well, the most important thing is water. With tap water, we usually need to let it sit for a few days, otherwise it easily causes soil compaction. Actually, we can also use wastewater from daily life to water plants, and the effect is really superb. It's such a shame to just throw it away.

Rusty water

First, soak rusty nails or scrap iron in water. Once the water turns a light yellow color, dilute it with water and use it to water plants. This can supply plants with plenty of iron, and can stop the leaves of acid-loving flowering plants from turning yellow, making them glossy again. Also, if the leaves of hydroponic plants turn yellow, you can drop a rusty nail into the water, which can also ease the yellowing of the leaves.

Leftover tea

First, let the leftover tea sit for about 2 days, then filter out the tea leaves. Mix the liquid with clean water at a 1:1 ratio and stir well. Use it to water plants, and it can supply them with trace elements such as phosphorus and nitrogen, making plants stronger and also boosting their antioxidant capacity.

Rainwater

When collecting rainwater, wait until the rain has fallen for a while before collecting. Especially during thunderstorms with lightning, be sure to collect some, because thunderstorm weather can condense nitrogen from the air into the rainwater. But don't collect too much, otherwise it easily attracts mosquitoes. Once collected, rainwater can be used directly to water plants. It can supply plants with plenty of mineral elements and also adjust the pH of the soil.

Air conditioner water

In summer when the air conditioner is running, some water flows out. Never throw this water away. Catch it in a small bucket and let it sit for a while. Once the water temperature drops, use it to water plants. It works many times better than tap water, and it can also prevent soil compaction. Or spray some clean water around the plants, which can also help lower the temperature.
