If you want your pothos to keep sprouting aerial roots nonstop, you need to know these 2 things well, and it can shoot up to over 1 m tall in 3 months

As people's living standards improve, more and more people like to keep some flowers and plants at home, and pothos is the most common one, with colorful leaves, evergreen all year round, long trailing branches, and well-developed aerial roots, making it an excellent indoor potted plant, and pothos also has the function of purifying the air, able to absorb harmful substances such as formaldehyde and benzene.
Some flower lovers often complain that the pothos they grow barely grows, and has very few aerial roots. Today Hua'er will introduce to everyone: when growing pothos, you need to know these 2 things well, and if done right, it will shoot up to over 1 m long in 3 months, with aerial roots sprouting like crazy!
1. Water control
Pothos likes a humid environment, comes alive upon contact with water, and has particularly strong vitality, so it is also called the "flower of life." Therefore, many flower lovers mistakenly believe that as long as they water pothos more, it can grow quickly and differentiate more flower buds. The approach is not wrong, but with just maintenance it is quite difficult to grow aerial roots, and when pothos grows to a certain extent, without aerial roots to assist in absorbing nutrients and water, the plant can no longer continue to grow.
So when you see many pothos branches without aerial roots, you can use water control to prompt a sufficient number of aerial roots to sprout. When watering, wait until the potting soil is dry and the branches and leaves show slight softening before doing so. Repeat this for about half a month, and the aerial roots will naturally sprout.
2. Nutrient control
Plant growth cannot be separated from nutrients, especially during the growing period. You can apply some organic fertilizer rich in nitrogen and with high fertilizer efficiency. You can dig a few small holes around the flower pot, put 3-5 cooked soybeans into each small hole, and during fermentation they will release nitrogen fertilizer and other nutrients, promoting the growth of pothos and the sprouting of aerial roots.
