Resold orchids are cheap, but after long-distance transport to the mainland, even if they do not die, they lose a layer of skin.

Let's talk about resold orchids. Can resold orchids be grown? They should be growable, because the price is low. However, the home environment and equipment need to be good; it is better to have temperature and humidity control, as the change from their original growing environment is not great, making them easier to grow successfully.

Choose the kind that overseas orchid enthusiasts grow themselves for appreciation, with large pseudobulbs. Those greenhouse-grown commercial seedlings that produce 3 generations of growth in one year, with thin pseudobulbs and long leaves, have been grown in shade and forced with hormones, and are prone to viruses. For orchid enthusiasts growing on balconies, they are relatively difficult to grow.

I have found that among the low-priced orchids auctioned on orchid websites, this kind is basically the majority, because the price of this kind of orchid is more than half lower than on the mainland. A senior orchid enthusiast, Mr. Jian, said: resold orchids are purchased one household at a time from overseas, go through long-distance transport, then are purchased one household at a time and gathered together, and then reach the mainland. Some orchids near the top of the vehicle are ruined by sun exposure, and are also ruined by being stuffy. When this kind of orchid reaches the mainland, even if it does not die, it loses a layer of skin. So orchid vendors say this orchid has been grown in my home for a year or two, but only heaven knows whether that is true.
